Early Changes

There were a few things that needed to be changes before we could move in.

Most of the rooms in the house hd ugly light fixtures that did not put out much light, so we updated almost all of them. The closets, Laundry room, and basement all had bare incadesent bulbs.

Also needing to be fixed was the shower head. Peter, being 6'4" is used to being too tall to stand up straight under a shower head, but the one that was in this house was too short for me to stand under. Home Depot solved our problem.



Lastly we bought a refrigerator and stove. I was excited for the door ice and dispenser. Peter was thrilled with the Stove being as and having a convection oven.




Thank you Micheal and Diane for driving down to help clean the house and install all this stuff.

Our Home

We moved in on November 22 and have since then discovered something about ourselves. We are terrible at keeping a blog! I had a bunch of photos to put up here and then accidentally deleted them off the camera before they could be saved.

So now we are going to put up some photos that we have been sitting off and will make an effort to get new ones up of rooms as we get them presentable.

We want to say thank you to all of those people who helped us get into this place and a special thank you to grandma and grandpa Collins. Without you this would not have happened.

Update

Just to update everyone, the roof past it's sheeting inspection. All thats left is to paper it and comp it. So we will have a finished roof no later than Friday.

Very cool.

Update!

So the electrical is done. The roof is being done this weekend.

Things are progressing along right nicely. We should have no problem moving in on the 22nd of this month.

WOOHOO!!!

We got our loan funded, the money has been transferred. It will be recorded tomorrow and we should have our keys by the end of the day tomorrow.

Frustrations!
